What is NextClaw?

NextClaw is a personal AI operating layer that runs on your own machine. It is not just a chat window. It brings models, channels, automations, and host-machine capabilities into one entry point.

You can start small: install the CLI, start the service, open the browser UI, configure one model provider, and get one useful reply. After that, you can connect chat channels, scheduled jobs, remote access, and long-running hosting.

What problem does it solve?

  • You do not want to switch between multiple models, tools, and messaging surfaces for every task.
  • You want AI to do more than answer text; you want it to keep working through channels, jobs, and local capabilities.
  • You want to prove it on your own machine first, then decide whether to keep it running, expose it remotely, or connect more capabilities.

What it is not

  • It is not an SDK-only documentation set.
  • It is not a tool that requires learning the entire command surface before first use.
  • It is not a feature dump where every capability competes for the first page.
