NextClaw v0.42.1 fixes runtime compatibility for built-in desktop Service Apps. Favorites, Calendar, and similar built-in apps no longer require a separately installed system Node.js; they launch with the runtime shipped by NextClaw.

Fixes

  • Built-in Service Apps work without system Node.js: built-in apps such as Favorites and Calendar use the NextClaw runtime, avoiding request failures caused by Windows or Linux environment differences.
  • Failed requests remain machine-readable: even unexpected Service App failures now return a structured error instead of an unparseable server response.

Validation

The stable release flow now runs Favorites and Calendar requests in real Electron hosts on Linux and Windows with the system PATH isolated, continuously proving that this path does not depend on an external Node.js installation.

Compatibility

This patch does not change app protocols or user-data formats.
