NextClaw v0.45.2 continues the Portable Service App reliability fixes for real installations. Older Linux distributions can now run the Daily Toolkit, and an NPM installation that lacks a complete Runtime for the current platform automatically downloads and activates the matching stable Runtime.

Fixes

• Broader Linux compatibility: The Linux x64 runner is now statically linked and no longer depends on the newer glibc version used by the build machine. Servers that reported GLIBC_2.33 or GLIBC_2.34 not found can update normally.
• Automatic repair for an incomplete Runtime: After a fresh install or upgrade, NextClaw downloads the signed, complete Runtime when the current installation lacks a runner. An incomplete NPM-packaged copy no longer overrides a complete installed Runtime.
• Runner failures no longer terminate the host: NextClaw catches runner startup and communication errors and returns a structured failure instead of allowing a child-process EPIPE to terminate the host and surface as a reverse-proxy 502.
• Real enable flow in release validation: Cross-platform release validation starts the published Runtime, enables the included Portable App, checks Action, Resident, Provider, and composition behavior, and performs a real Action call.
• Clean Node 26 installation coverage: The SQLite native dependency is updated, and release verification keeps install scripts enabled so native installation failures cannot be hidden by a package-only smoke test.

What you need to do

Update to v0.45.2, restart NextClaw, and enable the Daily Toolkit again. You do not need to copy a runner manually, install a newer glibc, or change file permissions.
